Mastering the Subconscious Mind as a Spiritual Practice
What’s “wrong” with the collective mind today? All you have to do is turn on the television to see the negative programming being served up like candy. From the media to societal norms, these limiting beliefs creep into our subconscious minds, shaping our reality without us even realizing it.
Mastering Your Mind: The Core of My Spiritual Practice
I believe that what you resonate with internally is reflected in your reality. My spiritual practice is all about managing my emotions, and vibration to create a life filled with ease and lightness—to TAKE BACK MY LIGHT.
At its core, this practice involves digging into the subconscious mind to uncover and release limiting beliefs that block your true self. This isn’t easy work; it requires dedication, attention, and prioritizing yourself. But when you do, you open the door to incredible transformation.
Self-Love is Not Selfish
Society often labels self-love, self-care, and self-worth as selfish indulgences. Many put themselves last, believing it’s the “noble” thing to do. But this is completely backward.
When you prioritize self-love, you fill your own cup first, which allows you to show up better for others. Awakening to your light makes you less susceptible to negative patterns and more capable of seeing situations clearly. You become a beacon of flexibility, calm, and strength—qualities that ripple out into the collective.
We Are All Connected
Your inner work doesn’t just affect you; it impacts everyone around you:
Immediate Circle: A happier, healthier you uplifts your family and loved ones.
Community: Your energy influences those you encounter daily, from neighbors to strangers on the street.
Collective Mind: By refusing to engage with negativity and embodying light, you set an example of what’s possible, inspiring others to do the same.
Six Ways to Access the Subconscious Mind
As I studied hypnosis, I discovered how easily the subconscious mind is influenced—often without our awareness. Here are six key ways subconscious programming happens:
Authority Figures: Words from people we perceive as authoritative (parents, teachers, leaders) embed into our subconscious.
Peer Groups: We unconsciously adopt the behaviors and beliefs of those we surround ourselves with.
Highly Emotional Events: In moments of heightened emotion, like during a crisis, the subconscious is wide open to suggestion.
Repetition: Repeated messages—like advertising slogans—create deep subconscious patterns.
Hypnotic States: Relaxed states, like watching TV, make the mind receptive to images and suggestions.
Saying Yes: Agreeing to something reinforces it in the subconscious.
Reprogramming Your Subconscious Mind
Imagine this scenario: You’re in a hypnotic state, vegging out in front of the TV, consuming emotional content, and bombarded by repetitive messaging from commercials or authority figures. Without realizing it, you’re programming your subconscious mind with ideas you never consciously chose.
If you’re not programming your mind, someone else is.
Becoming aware of this dynamic is the first step. Taking control means being mindful of what you allow into your subconscious mind and intentionally programming it with positive, empowering beliefs.
The Power of Hypnosis to Reprogram the Subconscious
Hypnosis is a powerful tool to access and reprogram the subconscious mind. By recognizing the ways external influences shape your beliefs, you can actively choose new, supportive thoughts and values. Using techniques like self-hypnosis allows you to rewrite your inner dialogue and reclaim your light.
